1. Come Holy Ghost who ever One Art with the Father and the Son, It is the hour, our souls possess With thy full flood of holiness. 2. Psalmus 39 (2,9)

The Lord hath heard * my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.

With expectation I have waited for the Lord, * and he was attentive to me.

  1. Et exaudívit preces meas: * et edúxit me de lacu misériæ, et de luto fæcis.

    2. And he heard my prayers, * and brought me out of the pit of misery and the mire of dregs.

  2. Et státuit super petram pedes meos: * et diréxit gressus meos.

    9. For evils without number have surrounded me; * my iniquities have overtaken me, and I was not able to see.

  2. Ferant conféstim confusiónem suam: * qui dicunt mihi: Euge, euge.

    3. Let them immediately bear their confusion, * that say to me: ’T is well, ’t is well.

  3. Exsúltent et læténtur super te omnes quæréntes te: * et dicant semper: Magnificétur Dóminus: qui díligunt salutáre tuum.

Fratres: Qui gloriátur, in Dómino gloriétur. † Non enim qui seípsum comméndat, * ille probátus est; sed quem Deus comméndat.

Brothers: But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he who commendeth himself, is approved, but he, whom God commendeth.

Orémus.

Deus, qui ánimam beátæ Vírginis tuæ Scholásticæ ad ostendéndam innocéntiæ viam in colúmbæ spécie cælum penetráre fecísti: † da nobis eius méritis et précibus ita innocénter vívere; * ut ad ætérna mereámur gáudia perveníre.
Per Dóminum nostrum Iesum Christum, Fílium tuum: † qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus, * per ómnia sǽcula sæculórum.

O God, Who, to show the way of the undefiled, wast pleased that the soul of thy blessed Virgin Scholastica should fly to heaven in a bodily shape, like a dove, mercifully grant unto us thy servants, for her sake, and at her petition, worthily to attain unto thine everlasting joy.
Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
