Commemoratio ad Laudes tantum: S. Pudentianæ Virginis
Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: * sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing ye to the Lord and bless his name: * shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the Gentiles: * his wonders among all people.
For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: * he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: * but the Lord made the heavens.
Praise and beauty are before him: * holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.
Bring ye to the Lord, O ye kindreds of the Gentiles, bring ye to the Lord glory and honour: * bring to the Lord glory unto his name.
Bring up sacrifices, and come into his courts: * adore ye the Lord in his holy court.
Let all the earth be moved at his presence. * Say ye among the Gentiles, the Lord hath reigned.
For he hath corrected the world, which shall not be moved: * he will judge the people with justice.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof: * the fields and all things that are in them shall be joyful.
Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice before the face of the Lord, because he cometh: * because he cometh to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with justice, * and the people with his truth.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Judge me, O God, and distinguish my cause from the nation that is not holy: * deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man.
For thou art God my strength: * why hast thou cast me off? and why do I go sorrowful whilst the enemy afflicteth me?
Send forth thy light and thy truth: * they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles.
And I will go in to the altar of God: * to God who giveth joy to my youth.
To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp: * why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me?
Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: * the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
May God have mercy on us, and bless us: * may he cause the light of his countenance to shine upon us, and may he have mercy on us.
That we may know thy way upon earth: * thy salvation in all nations.
Let people confess to thee, O God: * let all people give praise to thee.
Let the nations be glad and rejoice: * for thou judgest the people with justice, and directest the nations upon earth.
Let the people, O God, confess to thee: * let all the people give praise to thee: the earth hath yielded her fruit.
May God, our God bless us, may God bless us: * and all the ends of the earth fear him.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Thou art great, O Lord, for ever, * and thy kingdom is unto all ages:
For thou scourgest, and thou savest: thou leadest down to hell, and bringest up again: * and there is none that can escape thy hand.
Give glory to the Lord, ye children of Israel, * and praise him in the sight of the Gentiles:
Because he hath therefore scattered you among the Gentiles, who know not him, * that you may declare his wonderful works,
And make them know * that there is no other almighty God besides him.
He hath chastised us for our iniquities: * and he will save us for his own mercy.
See then what he hath done with us, and with fear and trembling give ye glory to him: * and extol the eternal King of worlds in your works.
As for me, I will praise him in the land of my captivity: * because he hath shewn his majesty toward a sinful nation.
Be converted therefore, ye sinners, and do justice before God, * believing that he will shew his mercy to you.
And I and my soul * will rejoice in him.
Bless ye the Lord, all his elect, * keep days of joy, and give glory to him.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Praise ye the name of the Lord: * O you his servants, praise the Lord:
You that stand in the house of the Lord, * in the courts of the house of our God.
Praise ye the Lord, for the Lord is good: * sing ye to his name, for it is sweet.
For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: * Israel for his own possession.
For I have known that the Lord is great, * and our God is above all gods.
Whatsoever the Lord pleased he hath done, in heaven, in earth, * in the sea, and in all the deeps.
He bringeth up clouds from the end of the earth: * he hath made lightnings for the rain.
He bringeth forth winds out of his stores: * He slew the firstborn of Egypt from man even unto beast.
He sent forth signs and wonders in the midst of thee, O Egypt: * upon Pharao, and upon all his servants.
He smote many nations, * and slew mighty kings:
Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and Og king of Basan, * and all the kingdoms of Chanaan.
And gave their land for an inheritance, * for an inheritance to his people Israel.
Thy name, O Lord, is for ever: * thy memorial, O Lord, unto all generations.
For the Lord will judge his people, * and will be entreated in favour of his servants.
The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, * the works of men’s hands.
They have a mouth, but they speak not: * they have eyes, but they see not.
They have ears, but they hear not: * neither is there any breath in their mouths.
Let them that make them be like to them: * and every one that trusteth in them.
Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: * bless the Lord, O house of Aaron.
Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: * you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
Blessed be the Lord out of Sion, * who dwelleth in Jerusalem.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Ecce sacérdos magnus, qui in diébus suis plácuit Deo, † et invéntus est iustus: * et in témpore iracúndiæ factus est reconciliátio.
Behold an high priest, who in his days pleased God, and was found righteous, and in the time of wrath he was made a propitiation.
1. Jesu, the world’s Redeemer, O hear; thy bishops’ fadeless crown, draw near: Accept with gentlest love today The prayers and praises that we pay. 2. The meek confessor of thy name Today attained a glorious fame; Whose yearly feast, in solemn state, Thy faithful people celebrate. 3. The world and all its boasted good, As vain and passing, he eschewed; And therefore with angelic bands, In endless joy forever stands. 4. Grant then that we, most gracious God, May follow in the steps he trod: And, at his prayer, thy servants free From stain of all iniquity. 5. To thee, O Christ, our loving King, All glory, praise, and thanks we bring: All glory, as is ever meet, To Father and to Paraclete. Amen.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant * thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things, saith the Lord, alleluia.
Blessed be the Lord + God of Israel; * because he hath visited and wrought the redemption of his people:
And hath raised up an horn of salvation to us, * in the house of David his servant:
As he spoke by the mouth of his holy Prophets, * who are from the beginning:
Salvation from our enemies, * and from the hand of all that hate us:
To perform mercy to our fathers, * and to remember his holy testament,
The oath, which he swore to Abraham our father, * that he would grant to us,
That being delivered from the hand of our enemies, * we may serve him without fear,
In holiness and justice before him, * all our days.
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: * for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways:
To give knowledge of salvation to his people, * unto the remission of their sins:
Through the bowels of the mercy of our God, * in which the Orient from on high hath visited us:
To enlighten them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death: * to direct our feet into the way of peace.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant * thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things, saith the Lord, alleluia.

O God, Who raised blessed Peter Celestine to the lofty dignity of Supreme Pontiff and taught him to prefer self-abasement instead; mercifully grant that by his example we may look upon all worldly things as naught, and may be worthy to reap in joy the rewards promised to the humble.
Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.

℟.
Graciously hear us, O God of our salvation; that as we rejoice in the festivity of blessed Pudentiana thy Virgin, we may be instructed in the affections of a loving devotion.
Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
