O God, come to my assistance; * O Lord, make haste to help me.

    2. Let them be confounded and ashamed * that seek my soul:

    3. Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame * that desire evils to me:

Visit, we beseech thee, O Lord, this dwelling, and drive far from it the snares of the enemy; let thy holy angels dwell herein to preserve us in peace, and let thy blessing be always upon us.

O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ; grant, we beseech thee, that through his Mother, the Virgin Mary, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.
