1. O God of truth, O Lord of might, Who orderest time and change aright, Who send’st the early morning ray, And light’st the glow of perfect day: 2. Extinguish thou each sinful fire, And banish every ill desire; And while thou keep’st the body whole, Shed forth thy peace upon the soul. 3. Almighty Father, hear our cry, Through Jesus Christ, our Lord most High, Who, with the Holy Ghost and thee, Doth live and reign eternally. Amen.

Psalmus 73 (1,9)

O God, why hast thou cast us off unto the end: * why is thy wrath enkindled against the sheep of thy pasture?

  1. Memor esto congregatiónis tuæ: * quam possedísti ab inítio.

    2. Remember thy congregation, * which thou hast possessed from the beginning.

  2. Redemísti virgam hereditátis tuæ: * mons Sion, in quo habitásti in eo.

    3. The sceptre of thy inheritance which thou hast redeemed: * mount Sion in which thou hast dwelt.

  3. Leva manus tuas in supérbias eórum in finem: * quanta malignátus est inimícus in sancto!

Remember this, the enemy hath reproached the Lord: * and a foolish people hath provoked thy name.

    2. Deliver not up to beasts the souls that confess to thee: * and forget not to the end the souls of thy poor.

  2. Réspice in testaméntum tuum: * quia repléti sunt, qui obscuráti sunt terræ dómibus iniquitátum.

    3. Have regard to thy covenant: * for they that are the obscure of the earth have been filled with dwellings of iniquity.

  3. Ne avertátur húmilis factus confúsus: * pauper et inops laudábunt nomen tuum.

    4. Let not the humble be turned away with confusion: * the poor and needy shall praise thy name.

Deus, pro cuius honóre gloriósus Póntifex Stanisláus gládiis impiórum occúbuit: † præsta, quǽsumus; ut omnes, qui eius implórant auxílium, * petitiónis suæ salutárem consequántur efféctum.
Per Dóminum nostrum Iesum Christum, Fílium tuum: † qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus, * per ómnia sǽcula sæculórum.

O God, for Whose glory the noble Bishop Stanislaw fell by the swords of sinful men, grant, we beseech thee, that all whosoever ask his help, may find such answer to their petition as may profit them to the everlasting salvation of their souls.
Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
