Psalmus 26 (1,6)

O Lord, thou hast judged * the cause of my soul, thou the Redeemer of my life.

The Lord is my light and my salvation, * whom shall I fear?

  1. Dóminus protéctor vitæ meæ, * a quo trepidábo?

    2. The Lord is the protector of my life: * of whom shall I be afraid?

  2. Dum apprópiant super me nocéntes, * ut edant carnes meas:

    3. Whilst the wicked draw near against me, * to eat my flesh.

  3. Qui tríbulant me inimíci mei, * ipsi infirmáti sunt et cecidérunt.

    9. For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; * in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.

    10. He hath exalted me upon a rock: * and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies.

    11. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: * I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: * have mercy on me and hear me.

    2. My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: * thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.

  2. Ne avértas fáciem tuam a me, * ne declínes in ira a servo tuo.

    3. Turn not away thy face from me; * decline not in thy wrath from thy servant.

  3. Adjútor meus esto: * ne derelínquas me, neque despícias me, Deus, salutáris meus.

    6. Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, * and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies.

  6. Ne tradíderis me in ánimas tribulántium me: † quóniam insurrexérunt in me testes iníqui, * et mentíta est iníquitas sibi.

    7. Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; * for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself.

    8. I believe to see the good things of the Lord * in the land of the living.

    9. Expect the Lord, do manfully, * and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the Lord.

Psalmus 27

Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: my God, be not thou silent to me: * lest if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

  1. Exáudi, Dómine, vocem deprecatiónis meæ dum oro ad te: * dum extóllo manus meas ad templum sanctum tuum.

    2. Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; * when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple.

  2. Ne simul trahas me cum peccatóribus: * et cum operántibus iniquitátem ne perdas me.

    3. Draw me not away together with the wicked; * and with the workers of iniquity destroy me not:

  3. Qui loquúntur pacem cum próximo suo, * mala autem in córdibus eórum.

    4. Who speak peace with their neighbour, * but evils are in their hearts.

  4. Da illis secúndum ópera eórum, * et secúndum nequítiam adinventiónum ipsórum.

    5. Give them according to their works, * and according to the wickedness of their inventions.

  5. Secúndum ópera mánuum eórum tríbue illis, * redde retributiónem eórum ipsis.

    6. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: * render to them their reward.

  6. Quóniam non intellexérunt ópera Dómini, † et in ópera mánuum ejus * déstrues illos, et non ædificábis eos.

    7. Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: * thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up.

  7. Benedíctus Dóminus, * quóniam exaudívit vocem deprecatiónis meæ.

    8. Blessed be the Lord, * for he hath heard the voice of my supplication.

  8. Dóminus adjútor meus, et protéctor meus: * in ipso sperávit cor meum et adjútus sum.

    9. The Lord is my helper and my protector: * in him hath my heart confided, and I have been helped.

  9. Et reflóruit caro mea: * et ex voluntáte mea confitébor ei.

    10. And my flesh hath flourished again, * and with my will I will give praise to him.

  10. Dóminus fortitúdo plebis suæ: * et protéctor salvatiónum Christi sui est.

    11. The Lord is the strength of his people, * and the protector of the salvation of his anointed.

  11. Salvum fac pópulum tuum, Dómine, et bénedic hereditáti tuæ, * et rege eos, et extólle illos usque in ætérnum.

    12. Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: * and rule them and exalt them for ever.

Ier 17:13

Dómine, omnes qui te derelínquunt, confundéntur: † recedéntes a te, in terra scribéntur: * quóniam dereliquérunt venam aquárum vivéntium Dóminum.

O Lord: all that forsake thee shall be confounded: they that depart from thee, shall be written in the earth: because they have forsaken the Lord, the vein of living waters.

Sanctífica, quǽsumus; Dómine, * nostra ieiúnia: † et cunctárum nobis indulgéntiam propítius largíre culpárum.
Per Dóminum nostrum Iesum Christum, Fílium tuum: † qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus, * per ómnia sǽcula sæculórum.

Hallow, O Lord, we beseech thee, this our Fast, and mercifully grant us forgiveness of all our trespasses.
Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
